Comparison: OPI My Private Jet (original & new versions) and Enchanted Polish Vampire's Dessert

Bonjour!  'Tis Friday (or close enough), and all the land rejoices!  I'm going to get my hair cut and colored this afternoon.  It's long overdue.  My friend thinks I should go darker, but I want to go lighter.  Dark hair washes me out, plus, it's summer!  Bring on the blonde!

Two weekends ago I went to a Toadies concert with some friends and one of them was wearing this pretty black holo polish.  The shiny attracted my attention, so I asked her what it was.  "It's My Private Jet", she says to me.  "WHAAAAAAAT?  You have the original version of My Private Jet?!?!?!?  You must bring it to work on Monday so I can steal see this rare gem for myself", I says to her.  She had no idea what she had.  I told her I'd bring my MPJ bottle so she could see how OPI totally jacked up a beautiful polish.  I also brought my bottle of Enchanted Polish Vampire's Dessert, because I'd just received it in the mail and couldn't wait to try it out.  Not sure if you know this, but I kind of love Enchanted Polish.  Really a lot.

Three polishes on one hand, aaaaaaand GO!

Top to bottom: MPJ original (3 coats), MPJ new (2 coats),  VD (1 coat!!), MPJ original (3 coats)
Indoors, no flash
Indoors, flash
L to R: MPJ original, MPJ new, VD, MPJ original
Indoors, no flash
Then I scotch taped some tips
Kind of a bit cattywampus.  Oops.
Flash
Flashy bottles
Vampire's Dessert, MPJ original, MPJ new
MPJ original
B-b-b-bottles of the Jets
VD is my favorite.  That is 1 stinkin' coat, people!
MPJ new
Oh noes!  It's THE CLAW!
Vampire's Dessert
Sunlight, nubbins trimmed down to nothing!

I tipped with this.  Wet n Wild something or other.

Right, so there you go.  The original My Private Jet > The new My Private Jet, but Vampire's Dessert > Both Private Jets.  VD is so pigmented, and the holo is stronger.  It's described as a dark burgundy, but I think it's more of a dark brown.  Hell, it looks black most of the time.  Whatever color you want to call it, it's gorgeous.

My Private Jet (original) can be stolen from your friend, but not purchased in stores.  My Private Jet (new) can be purchased wherever OPI is sold.  Enchanted Polish Vampire's Dessert can be purchased from llarowe and probably somewhere else, but I'm not sure where.

Enchanted Polish:Reloaded

Howdy, Partners! (No, we don't actually say that in Texas--only if we're being facetious) I'm back with round 2 of Enchanted Polish, and this time I have Across the Universe on deck! This is one of the two I bought from my first post where I demonstrated that I have no self-control when it comes to these bottles of Yes, Please. Austin Powers is the other one I bought, but I haven't swatched it yet. Might be a while on that one because I recently came home to nail mail containing, in part, this and this. I die? Yes, I die!

Across the Universe is more sheer than I was expecting, so I ended up layering one coat over two coats of Rimmel Midnight Blue on one hand. It was fully opaque on its own in three coats (right hand) but I really like the depth of color the layering gives it (left hand). Because I can't photograph for shit, I will enlist the aid of YouTube to show you more of what this beaut is truly like, so check out the pretty in live action!

There's so much going on in this gorgeous polish--you really need to see it in person to appreciate it as it deserves! It's duochrome, it's holographic, it's DUOGRAPHIC! Mostly it's just lovely and you need it in your life. Apologies for the condition of my mani. This is two days old, I'm rough on my nails, and I need some serious moisturizing. Checkitty-check it out:
Across the Universe, eating a banana
Left hand (layered)
Blurred for all the pretty colors

Almost done with banana
Right hand (alone)
It's the bottle!

There it is again!

Also outside, but you can see the flashes of green!

Oooooh
Right hand
Ahhhhhh
I like this one because it's a more accurate representation of how the glitter looks in regular light

So.  Enchanted Polish.  I lurrrrrrve it.  I realize that I post entirely too many photos, and they're in no particular order, but I can't decide which ones are the best, and it's a real bitch trying to organize these things  once I've added them to the post.  Probably I just have a case of the stupids, but I can't seem to get the things to move where I want them to go.  Uploading them in the order I'd like them to appear sounds like it SHOULD work, but that's not happening, either.  So for now, many pictures in no order will be the norm.  Hope none of you are OCD.

You can buy Enchanted Polish at llarowe when it's in stock.

Quick update: Name change!

I knew I didn't like "The Polishinator" and that it wouldn't last!  Welcome to Finger Flair!  Thanks to my Office Space loving friend for the suggestion!
